Position Description
NYU Shanghaiis currently inviting applications for tenure-track faculty positions in Management and Organizations at all levels (assistant, associate, and full) and in all areas of management (Organizational Behavior, Strategy, and Organizational Theory). At the assistant level, we welcome both novice and experienced candidates and have a special interest in those with expertise in Organizational Behavior.
Successful candidates should demonstrate the ability to conduct high-caliber research, contribute to leading academic journals, and effectively teach both graduate and undergraduate courses in the Management discipline. In addition to an opportunity to pursue research in the exciting setting of Shanghai, the candidates will have the opportunity (and be encouraged) to develop and maintain academic ties with faculty in New York. Terms of employment at NYU Shanghai are comparable to NYU New York and other U.S. institutions with respect to research start-up funds and compensation, and they include housing subsidies and educational subsidies for children. Faculty may in certain cases have the opportunity to spend time at NYU New York and other sites of the NYU Global Network, engaging in both research and teaching.
We seek candidates who have completed a Ph.D. in Management and Business Administration or a closely related discipline of psychology, applied economics, and sociology. We invite applications from candidates in any field and have a special interest in those with expertise in Organizational Behavior.
A candidate should have a Ph.D. by the time of the appointment which is expected to be Fall 2025, and is expected to be an outstanding researcher and teacher at both the undergraduate and graduate levels (or have outstanding potential, in the case of junior candidates). The position is expected to commence in September 2025.
